THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU IF YOU DON’T FEEL EXCEPTIONALLY GRATEFUL TODAY

:: there’s nothing wrong with you if you don’t feel exceptionally grateful today ::

However you feel about Thanksgiving, there’s no getting around the fact that there’s gonna be a whole lotta thankin’ goin’ on today.

Not that that’s a bad thing. Obviously, gratitude is great :)

But shaming people who aren’t feeling it is very much NOT great.

And positioning yourself as better or more evolved because you rock that attitude of gratitude is ALSO very much not great.

So can we all please remember that sometimes gratitude is TOUGH.

And false or forced gratitude does way more harm than good.

THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU IF YOU DON’T FEEL EXCEPTIONALLY GRATEFUL TODAY.

That being said…

I’d like to invite you to consider where you might very well hold some gratitude, even though you didn’t think you could.

For the people or situations that have you feeling hurt, angry, sad, betrayed, lost, or disappointed…

Is there room to feel all of that and ALSO some real, true gratitude as well?

Maybe not.

But it might be cool to check, right?

My wish for you is that you OWN your gratitude (or lack thereof.)

That you let it look and feel however it does, and that those around you do the same.

Gratitude is meant to be felt, not used.

Although it happens to be potent, it’s not a tool for getting what you want or a means to an end.

It’s a prayer that springs from sparks of joy and sings out a chorus of holy alignment.

Such things aren’t meant to be forced.

So much love and deep, true gratitude for you. Thank you for crossing my path.
